Senior Solutions Manager, Legal AI FDE
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Manager, Legal AI FDE to lead product strategy and execution for customer-facing Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) engagements in CoCounsel Legal. In this role, you will own the product direction and execution of complex Legal FDE engagements, working directly with law firm customers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Professional Services, commercial segments, and core product teams.You will turn high-value legal workflow problems into well-defined solutions and scalable product capabilities. This role focuses on end-to-end AI product lifecycle management across multiple customer deployments and requires a keen interest in the legal industry and how legal teams operate in practice. You will combine customer discovery, disciplined delivery, and strategic product judgment to ensure bespoke solutions create immediate customer value while generating reusable insights and capabilities for the broader product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement and Use-Case Discovery: Partner directly with law firms, corporate legal departments, legal operations teams, and internal stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, risk considerations, and operational constraints. Translate ambiguous needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Product Leadership Across FDE Engagements: Lead product execution across multiple legal FDE engagements. Establish priorities, structure discovery, guide delivery decisions, and maintain alignment among customers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Professional Services, and core product teams.
- Backlog and Execution Management: Own and maintain engagement backlogs with strong hygiene, prioritization, and transparency. Ensure work is scoped, sequenced, and tracked across discovery, build, validation, launch, and handoff.
- End-to-End Product Lifecycle Ownership: Manage product work from intake through development, deployment, adoption, release readiness, and transition to core product teams or ongoing customer ownership. Ensure decisions, context, and learnings are documented and reusable.
- Productization of Bespoke Legal Solutions: Identify recurring legal workflows, integration patterns, and solution components that can become repeatable capabilities. Recommend when work should remain customer-specific and when it should be generalized for broader market value.
- Legal AI Quality and Trust: Partner with engineering, subject-matter experts, and product teams to define validation criteria appropriate for legal workflows, including accuracy, transparency, traceability, security, and responsible AI considerations.
- Strategic Influence: Synthesize customer needs and deployment insights into recommendations for product roadmaps, reusable service offerings, enablement, and investment priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, workflow platforms, integrations, or implementation-heavy environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, customer-facing product work across multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives.
- Proven ability to convert ambiguous customer problems into clear product strategy, requirements, prioritization, and execution plans.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering teams and influencing cross-functional partners without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal teams, legal operations, law firm workflows, or adjacent professional-service environments.
- Familiarity with legal use cases such as legal research, drafting, review, knowledge management, litigation, transactional, compliance, or legal operations.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, APIs, enterprise integrations, or document-intensive workflows.
- Proven track record of transitioning bespoke customer solutions into reusable product capabilities or scalable delivery patterns.
