Description

Join Tesla's Service Operations team as a Warranty Compliance Specialist, where you will strengthen warranty compliance, policy alignment, and process improvement across the service network. This role is dedicated to warranty compliance: ensuring pay types, correction codes, and claim practices meet global policy, and that non-compliant work is identified and corrected. You will partner closely with the Warranty Compliance team and global stakeholders on policy initiatives, modernize audit processes with AI-assisted review, and collaborate with service engineering, field teams, finance, and compliance partners to improve warranty compliance outcomes and reduce warranty risk and expense in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse service and claim data to identify non-compliant or unneeded parts and labor driven by gaps in tooling, processes, resources, or guidance. Quantify financial and compliance impact for Tesla and customers, and partner with service engineering, program development, and field teams to implement corrective solutions in field guidance, tooling, and rework guides.
  • Surface recurring quality and compliance issues from field partners and auditors that affect customer experience, out-of-warranty cost, and policy adherence. Prioritise by compliance risk, financial impact, and customer experience, and drive preventive measures and updated protocols with engineering, finance, and operations.
  • Work closely with Warranty Compliance stakeholders and global partners to align, communicate, and enforce policy for pay types and correction code use across regions and service channels. Develop and refine clear, actionable guidance for field leaders and engage cross-functionally when policy or process changes.
  • Strengthen warranty and goodwill audit and control processes, including AI-assisted review workflows that improve accuracy, speed, and consistency of compliance checks. Define problem statements, pilot automation opportunities, and scale successful audit and control improvements.
  • Manage Warranty tickets and support local campaign management to ensure completion rates are met.
  • Generate warranty training guides and best practices for service and front of house teams.

Requirements

  • Strong background in warranty compliance, warranty management, service operations, policy analysis, or audit/controls—ideally in automotive OEM or high-volume service center.
  • Automotive service or warranty background (warranty specialist, technical specialist, or similar), with solid understanding of repair procedures, technical documentation, and repair times or Flat Rate Time.
  • Proven use of data (dashboards, billing/claim reports) to find compliance gaps and waste, prioritize opportunities, and measure results.
  • Experience optimizing processes and automating workflows: define problems, pilot solutions, scale what works, including AI-enabled audit/review tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization; manage multiple priorities and solve problems in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with compliance, engineering, field, and finance; turn complex policy and process topics into clear guidance; prior multi-region policy alignment in service/aftersales a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support field teams and regional service sites.
