Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a Warehousing and Distribution Leader (m/f/d) based in Germany to support and manage regional warehousing operations for KLA Service Distribution Center(s) across Europe. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with project participation in the design, readiness, implementation, and continuous improvement of warehouse capabilities, including automation solutions and Mega-Hub opportunities.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day warehouse performance, partner closely with 3PLs and internal stakeholders, represent warehousing requirements in new facility projects, and ensure operations meet KLA standards for service, quality, compliance, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing warehouse operational activities for Service Distribution Center(s), including inbound, outbound, inventory management, order fulfillment, reverse logistics, and distribution execution.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership to ensure warehouse performance meets service, quality, safety, inventory accuracy, cost, and compliance expectations.
  • Represent warehousing requirements in new warehouse construction, expansion, relocation, and automation projects, ensuring facility design supports practical operational needs.
  • Partner with facilities, engineering, project teams, automation providers, 3PLs, and internal logistics stakeholders on warehouse layout, material flow, storage strategy, equipment requirements, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.
  • Support implementation and ongoing optimization of warehouse automation solutions to improve productivity, storage density, process discipline, and service performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across warehouse processes, including standard work, capacity planning, space utilization, cycle counting, dock-to-stock performance, pick/pack/ship accuracy, and issue resolution.
  • Manage and review 3PL and warehouse service provider performance through KPIs, operational reviews, escalation management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Contribute to Europe Mega-Hub optimization opportunities, including consolidation, co-location, storage strategy, operational leverage, and improved utilization of KLA logistics assets.
  • Coordinate with transportation and trade operations teams to ensure seamless regional distribution execution and alignment with Germany and EU logistics, customs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Parts Planning and Service teams to optimize inventory stocking strategies, warehouse replenishment, and distribution flows, ensuring high service levels, inventory availability, and customer fulfillment performance.
  • Prepare operational reporting and communicate performance, risks, actions, and improvement opportunities to regional and global logistics leadership.
  • Travel within the European Union as required to oversee warehouse operations, conduct site audits, and ensure compliance with KLA operational standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 10–15 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Proven proficiency in warehousing, logistics, transportation, and trade operations in Germany and the European Union.
  • Hands-on experience managing warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and operational performance management.
  • Experience managing 3PLs, warehouse operators, or outsourced logistics service providers through structured KPIs and service governance.
  • Experience participating in warehouse design, startup, relocation, expansion, automation, or operational readiness projects.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse layout, material flow, storage methods, process standardization, cycle counting, and capacity planning.
  • Working knowledge of EU logistics regulations, cross-border distribution, customs brokerage interfaces, and trade-related operational requirements.
  • German proficiency at professional/native level (mandatory).
  • English proficiency at professional/native level (mandatory).
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the European Union to support site reviews, audits, project activities, and operational governance.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the semiconductor, capital equipment, electronics, high-tech manufacturing, or field service logistics environment.
  • Experience supporting Service Distribution Centers or spare parts logistics operations serving customer support organizations.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP, WMS, TMS, warehouse automation platforms, and logistics analytics tools.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, value stream mapping, Gemba walks, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Exposure to Mega-Hub, co-location, consolidation, or regional warehouse network optimization initiatives.
