Job Title
VP, Head of PMO- Commerce Hub & MCGSThe Vice President, Head of PMO for Commerce Hub & MCGS leads the end-to-end program management office for Fiserv’s flagship global commerce platform — Commerce Hub (CH) — and its Mastercard Gateway Services (MCGS) integration. This leader is accountable for orchestrating a
complex, multi-region, multi-workstream program that unifies gateway, switch, and settlement capabilities into a single global platform, delivering a faster and differentiated client experience across NAMR, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
Reporting to the SVP, Global Product Strategy, the Vice President owns the program governance model, the drop-based delivery roadmap, triple-constraint management (scope, schedule, and cost), and the executive reporting rhythm. The role drives disciplined execution through the Product Development Life
Cycle (PDLC) and the Product-Tech Alignment Council (PTAC), partnering across Product, Technology, Regional, Sales, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and network partners (including Mastercard) to deliver on-time global outcomes with velocity, quality, and control.
Program leadership is fundamentally about driving communication for timely decisions — keeping one global team aligned on goals, dependencies, risks, and milestones across regions and functions.
What you will do:
Program Leadership & Governance
- Own the program governance model for Commerce Hub & MCGS, establishing and running Global and Regional Steering Committees (SteerCos) with clear decision rights, escalation paths, and cadence.
- Lead the program operating rhythm — Regional Executive SteerCo (bi-weekly) and Regional Execution SteerCo (weekly) reporting — using standardized templates across all regions for consistent visibility.
- Drive PTAC (Product-Tech Alignment Council) governance for cross-team dependency and duplication review, roadmap sign-off, and stage-gating from Ready-for-Tech into build.
- Embed PDLC discipline across the program, ensuring each initiative moves through intake, prioritization, alignment, build, and launch stages with clear gates and accountability.
- Serve as the single source of truth for program status, decisions, owners, and follow-through across the global team.
Delivery, Milestones & Triple-Constraint Management
- Own the drop-based delivery roadmap (e.g., Drop 0 MVP through subsequent global drops), managing milestone plans, release planning, and go-live readiness across regions.
- Manage the triple constraints — scope, schedule, and cost — effectively, controlling scope movement between drops, protecting delivery commitments, and resolving trade-offs transparently.
- Drive integrated program planning across horizontal work streams (Commerce Hub core, payments & adapters, checkouts, SDKs, settlement, VAS, CCC, Marketplace/boarding) and regional work streams.
- Maintain program-level visibility into critical path, dependencies, gaps, and delivery risk; drive mitigation and compensatory actions to keep the program on track.
- Oversee resourcing and hiring status across Product and Technology, partnering with leadership and HR to close staffing gaps that affect delivery.
MCGS & Network Partner Integration
- Lead program delivery for Mastercard Gateway Services (MCGS) integration with Commerce Hub, coordinating the joint Fiserv–Mastercard workstreams, milestones, and dependencies.
- Manage the network-partner cadence (e.g., Mastercard monthly/MC reviews and preparatory sessions), ensuring alignment on scope, commitments, and issue resolution.
- Ensure network rules, compliance, and certification requirements are reflected in program plans and delivery gates.
Executive Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and deliver executive-level program communications — SteerCo decks, monthly business reviews, milestone reports, and status narratives — tailored for senior leadership and sponsors.
- Bring strong executive presence, distilling complex, multi-region program status into clear decisions, risks, and asks for executives and network partners.
- Drive communication for timely decisions across a large, distributed stakeholder group, keeping product, technology, regional, and partner leaders aligned.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, kick-offs, and planning events (e.g., drop kick-offs and backend/architecture workshops) that mobilize the program.
Financials, Business Case & Controls
- Partner with Finance to maintain the program business case, financial targets, and investment controls, tracking spend against plan across regions and work streams.
- Establish program KPIs, RAG status, and operating-health metrics; report against milestones, velocity, and delivery commitments.
Risk, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Own the program-level RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log, driving proactive risk management and timely resolution.
- Strengthen governance and steering mechanisms where scope, testing, or delivery uncertainty creates risk.
- Apply process-excellence and continuous-improvement discipline (e.g., Six Sigma / Lean) to standardize templates, streamline governance, and improve delivery predictability.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled program-management and reporting practices to increase transparency and speed.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing global PMO spanning program management, governance, regional delivery, and reporting & controls.
- Operate as “one global team” — aligning Product, Technology, Regional, and partner stakeholders around shared goals and outcomes.
- Develop talent and future program leaders through coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Influence senior executives and stakeholders without direct authority to achieve enterprise outcomes.
What you need to have:
- 14+ years of experience in program/project management, product delivery, or transformation within payments, fintech, financial services, or technology.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience running large, complex, multi-region programs and global teams.
- Strong fintech and payments industry knowledge — acquiring, gateways, switch/processing, settlement, VAS, and network ecosystems (Mastercard/Visa).
- Demonstrated mastery of triple-constraint management (scope, schedule, cost) on enterprise-scale programs.
- Deep experience with PDLC and PTAC-style governance, stage-gating, and program operating rhythms (SteerCos, MBRs, milestone reviews).
- Hands-on expertise with program tooling — Clarity, Jira, and Confluence — for portfolio, delivery, and requirements management.
- PMP certification (or equivalent) and Six Sigma / Lean process-excellence credentials.
- Proven program-leadership communications and executive presence, with the ability to drive timely decisions across distributed stakeholders.
- Strong background in Product Strategy, Product Portfolio, and Roadmap Planning, connecting program execution to product outcomes.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; Bachelor’s degree required.
What is nice to have:
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Direct experience delivering global commerce, gateway, or acquiring-platform programs (e.g., Commerce Hub-type initiatives).
- Experience managing network-partner integrations (e.g., Mastercard/Visa) within a program context.
- Experience preparing Board, Investor Relations, or executive-level program materials.
- Knowledge of AI-driven program management, modern delivery practices, and agile-at-scale frameworks.
