Vice President, Product Management, Core AI Foundations
In this role, you will lead the product management function for all of the AI Foundation organization. You will directly partner with and support the lead of the AIF organization. As a leader of the product management function, you will partner with the following AIF Pillars: Context & Understanding, Data Intelligence, Integrated Software Platforms, Product Development Ecosystems, and AI Acceleration.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $550,000 (USD) + 80% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Partner across product areas, engineering, and AI Research to align roadmaps and ensure a cohesive customer experience. Articulate product vision to internal customers, partners, and senior leaders to drive key priorities.
- Synthesize 10X ideas into an actionable product strategy and multi-year roadmap for the AIF organization.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a product management team that partners seamlessly with engineering.
- Make high-stakes prioritization decisions under time and resource constraints to best support Google’s needs.
- Coach senior PM talent and foster a culture aligned with Google's strategic goals.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of experience in the full scope of product management (i.e., developing product outlook and roadmap, working with customers and driving development, coordinating launches, and ensuring post-launch success).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD.
- Strong builder or operator of large-scale infrastructure platforms and distributed systems, with technical knowledge of public/private cloud, GPUs, virtualization, and containerization.
