What will you do?

As an Account Manager for the Automotive Vertical, your primary mission will be to drive the adoption and expansion of Siemens Digital Industries' solutions within key Automotive accounts including demand creation for Siemens products and services in the automotive end user manufacturing segment. Success is measured by sales of Siemens products and services in automotive end user community, and the driving of end user specification into the wider global OEM and integrator market.

You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding the unique operational, technological, and strategic requirements of the automotive sector. This role requires a blend of strategic sales acumen, technical understanding of our portfolio, and an unwavering commitment to our customers' success in a highly critical and regulated environment.

Strategic Account Development: Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for assigned automotive customers, identifying key stakeholders, understanding their strategic objectives, and mapping Siemens Digital Industries portfolio to their critical needs.

Drive 'One Siemens' Solutions: Actively identify opportunities to leverage and integrate offerings from across Siemens' portfolio (e.g., Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure, etc.) to deliver holistic, end-to-end solutions that maximize value for customers and address their complex, multi-faceted challenges.

Consultative Selling: Engage with senior leaders, program managers, and technical experts within customer organizations to understand their challenges related to automation and drive solutions

Solution Articulation: Clearly articulate the value proposition of Siemens Digital Industries' portfolio, demonstrating how our integrated software and hardware solutions can enhance design, manufacturing, sustainment, and operational efficiency for automotive programs.

Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across various levels of customer organizations, fostering trust and positioning Siemens as a strategic partner.

Pipeline & Revenue Growth: Proactively identify new business opportunities, manage a robust sales pipeline, and consistently achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets.

Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, regulatory requirements and technological advancements to inform sales strategies and contribute to portfolio development.

Contract Negotiation: Lead and support contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for Siemens while meeting customer requirements.

Presentation & Communication: Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to diverse audiences, from technical experts to executive leadership.

What will you need to succeed?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Automotive Sector Expertise: 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the industry or suppliers to automotive industry with a strong understanding of automotive acquisition processes, program lifecycles, and key players.

Strategic & Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to think holistically and strategically, identifying opportunities for cross-portfolio solutions and effectively collaborating across diverse internal business units to deliver integrated value to customers (a 'One Siemens' approach).

Strategic Selling Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies, manage large accounts, and navigate multi-stakeholder environments.

Results-Oriented: A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving business growth.

Technical Aptitude:  Solid understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or operational processes relevant to the automotive sector is highly beneficial.

Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to identify customer pain points and creatively position Siemens solutions as effective remedies.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to customer sites and internal meetings

[Salary is commensurate with experience, and total compensation ranges between $ 150,000.00 CAD - $ 180,000.00 CAD including participation in our Sales Incentive Plan, contingent on achievement of sales targets as defined and updated from time to time by the Company.]
