UX/UI Designer

We help teams within Apple collect, analyze, and visualize manufacturing and supply chain data for every iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. produced worldwide. Our petabyte-scale systems provide critical insights that engineering and operations teams use to build Apple's next great product.
Description
As a product designer on our team, you'll design intuitive interfaces and collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and manufacturing experts to transform complex manufacturing problems into user-friendly experiences that drive operational excellence across Apple's global supply chain.
Work closely with manufacturing teams and stakeholders to learn about their daily workflows and understand what they need to do their jobs effectively
Share design insights and ideas with product and engineering teams to help improve our platforms and user experiences
Build interactive prototypes that accurately represent data and functionality, helping teams visualize new features across our different platforms
Test designs with real users to make sure they're intuitive and solve the right problems for people who use our tools every day
Create detailed design handoffs and work alongside engineering teams to bring designs to life, ensuring they work well for our users
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 1+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication skills and ability to present design rationale to stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers
- Experience with user research methods specific to enterprise, data-driven products
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field or 2+ years of professional experience
- Familiarity with information visualization, data storytelling, or data journalism
- Basic understanding of data visualization libraries and frameworks (D3, Observable, Tableau, etc.)
- Exposure to statistical analysis and data manipulation or tools (SQL, Python pandas, R, etc.)
- Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an interest in prototyping interactive visualizations
