Your Mission
As a User Research Associate Operations Coordinator, you will join a talented, and diverse user research operations team as you take your first step into the game industry while working on the largest gaming franchises in the world. User Research Associate Operations Coordinator work at the Activision User Research Center (AURC), located in Sherman Oaks, California. In this role, you'll be the operational engine behind our user research studies, making sure every session runs smoothly from the moment participants walk in the door. You'll handle participant check-in, prepare and maintain the lab environment, and keep studies running on schedule while they're underway. By the end of your first year, you'll have gotten on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced user research operations professionals, built a strong command of lab logistics and participant management, and helped ensure the flawless execution of studies that support one or more AAA games.
This role is based in our Los Angeles (Sherman Oaks) office and follows an onsite work schedule of Monday through Friday. Work arrangements may change at the company’s discretion to meet business needs.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Assist with the execution of user research studies, including lab setup and breakdown, participant intake and outtake, and check-in.
- Run and monitor sessions while studies are underway, keeping everything on schedule and making sure participants have what they need.
- Maintain the lab and its equipment, keeping the environment ready and reset between sessions.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating participants through internal or external methods.
- Run selected sessions and support all User Research staff with day-to-day operational tasks.
Player Profile
Experience
- Experience with and passion for video games is preferred and an ideal candidate will be well versed in at least one of Activision's titles.
- Experience with first person shooters on console/PC is a plus.
- Talent comes from many diverse backgrounds, so experience in lab operations, event coordination, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles is a plus. Exposure to user research, UX, or game testing is also welcome, but not a requirement.
Knowledge & Skills
- A Bachelor's degree is a plus, particularly in game development, communications, or a related field.
- Good interpersonal communication (both written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $19.01 - $35.15 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
