Transform the everyday with us!

We are looking for a U.S. Customs Assurance Manager. This position is remote.

We are seeking a U.S. Customs Assurance Manager to support U.S. Customs Operations through data analysis, compliance monitoring, reporting, and process improvement. This role combines practical customs knowledge with strong analytical skills to identify risks, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and translate complex trade data into actionable business insights.

The successful candidate will be comfortable investigating issues beyond system-generated results, explaining the regulatory basis for conclusions, and partnering across functions to improve customs compliance and operational performance. You use data and sound customs judgment to uncover risk, explain why an issue occurred, and help build scalable reporting and controls that strengthen U.S. Customs Operations.

You will make an impact by:

  • Develop and maintain customs reports, scorecards, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze import and broker data to identify entry errors, recurring trends, compliance risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions for classification, valuation, country-of-origin, and entry discrepancies.
  • Design or support data validations, exception reporting, and monitoring controls that improve customs data integrity.
  • Support HTS classification reviews, USMCA and other free trade agreement activities, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for Customs Operations and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with brokers, supply chain, logistics, procurement, finance, technology teams, and other stakeholders to resolve data and process issues.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve reporting, visibility, and operational efficiency.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs compliance, customs operations, brokerage, trade analytics, supply chain analytics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations and customs processes, including entry requirements, HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, identify anomalies and trends, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, data validation, and reporting.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in customs compliance, customs operations, brokerage, or trade analytics.
  • Hands-on experience applying customs regulations to classification, audit, USMCA or other free trade agreement, origin, valuation, or post-entry activities.
  • Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, validations, or automated compliance reports.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, SAP, Alteryx, Power Automate, or comparable analytics and automation tools.
  • Experience evaluating broker performance, entry accuracy, compliance trends, and root causes.
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits, corrective-action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Licensed Customs Broker certification is a plus.
