We are looking for individuals with proven experiences and passion in FATP (Final Assembly Test and Pack) test solutions development and test vendor management. We are continuously improving manufacturing test processes and solutions.
Description
This role requires familiarity with FATP testing & processes in its supply chain. The ability to work independently, good collaboration skills, and strong communications ability both in English and Mandarin are also required.
In this role, you will design & validate FATP test stations and constantly pursue new test methods as well as labor/cost reduction and automation.
You will travel (30%~50%) to both domestic and overseas suppliers’ sites for critical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design for Testability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Product Design, etc.) to generate ERS and ensure system-level functionalities are tested logically and efficiently. Guide vendors on FATP fixture design, ensuring proper mechanical alignment, electrical connectivity, and robust performance in a factory environment.
- Test Station Qualification: Collaborate with test station vendors to bring up FATP test stations and test coverage. Manage the calibration of test instruments and Golden Units. Use statistical tools (such as GR&R, SPC, and Cp/Cpk) to ensure test setups are repeatable and reproducible under mass-production conditions.
- Failure/Data Analysis: Analyze tester-related failures (e.g., false rejects due to fixture instability or probing/contact issues) by deep diving into test theories/algorithms; define DOEs to figure out the root cause. Analyze factory test data to fine-tune test limits, optimize test methods, improve yield, and reduce test time.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in the following areas: 1)FATP test station design for consumer electronics. 2)FATP test station qualification. Including but not limited to instrument calibration, Golden Unit correlation, repeatability, and reproducibility in a high-volume manufacturing environment. 3)System-level testing troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project and supplier (CM/OEM) management in mass production.
- Acoustic test station design, including proper acoustic sealing, vibration isolation, and ambient noise rejection.
- Deep understanding of acoustic metrics (Frequency Response, THD, Rub & Buzz, Sensitivity, Phase, SNR) and audio protocols (I2S, PDM, SoundWire).
- Skilled in operating industry-standard acoustic measurement systems and instruments (e.g., Listen SoundCheck, Audio Precision, B&K/GRAS sensors).
- Development and maintenance of software scripts and libraries. (Python, Lua, C++, etc.) for manufacturing test data analysis or test sequencing.
- Developing hardware/factory test automation solutions.
- Curiosity and creativity in applying AI tools.
