Technician - Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist will manage and maintain accurate inventory supporting fast-paced NPI proto and production activities. This role is responsible for material availability, inventory accuracy, traceability, kitting, material movement, and timely system transactions while supporting rapidly changing engineering and build requirements.

The specialist will work closely with Engineering, NPI Operations, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Assembly, Test, and other cross-functional teams to identify material requirements, resolve shortages and discrepancies, and ensure parts and kits are available when needed. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to prioritize changing requests in an environment where material readiness can directly impact build and test schedules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience working with an ERP, PLM and inventory management system.
• Experience with Aras, Agile, WASP or similar systems preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, NPI, engineering, or prototype environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and material management.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
   

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for parts, materials, and NPI kits.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or material constraints.
• Ensure required parts and kits are available to support NPI builds and testing.
• Manage inventory transactions and material movements within WASP.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with Logistics, Warehouse, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Track incoming and outgoing materials and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, NPI, and Manufacturing to understand material requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, accuracy, and material flow.

Salary Range: $72,474 - $103,534 USD * Plus, potential incentive/variable compensation for eligible roles.
