As a Technical Training Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will deliver interactive learning experiences that go beyond traditional slide-based instruction. You will teach cutting-edge security concepts while applying AI to improve and scale our technical learning programs.
This role combines technical expertise, an engaging facilitation style, and the practical application of AI to help technical professionals build field-ready skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced technical workshops, bootclóamps, and whiteboarding sessions covering areas such as SOAR playbook logic, SIEM modernization, and XDR triage.
- Use generative AI and prompt engineering to develop, enhance, and continuously update training materials and lab exercises based on evolving product capabilities.
- Partner with Technical Enablement Architects to improve courseware and ensure hands-on labs and simulations reflect evolving product capabilities, field needs, and adoption priorities.
- Lead Train-the-Trainer programs and support new hires as they build technical proficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience delivering technical training, workshops, or bootcamps within cybersecurity or a similarly complex technical environment.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, XDR, or related security operations technologies.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging learning experiences for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
- Experience using or prototyping AI and LLM-powered workflows to improve learning, knowledge sharing, content development, or operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background Hands-on experience in SOC operations, incident response, security engineering, or security analytics.
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, REST APIs APIs, or similar technologies technologies to build or improve technical workflows.
- Experience with Demostack or or similar lab and environment simulation platforms platforms.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications certifications, such as CISSP, GCIH, or comparable equivalent credentials.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
