The Memory & Storage Technology Sourcing team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, technology adoption, and deliver cost-savings to the business. The Technical Sourcing Manager (TSM) in this role will act as the lead Point of Contact to establish relationships across our supply base, and work with internal stakeholders to drive technology adoption to unlock supply or deliver better Total Cost of Ownership. This individual will also provide inputs into commercial agreements, and negotiate them as needed with supplier executives. In addition, the TSM will have a proven track record of delivering results in environments with varied stakeholders and supply base, and manage tradeoffs on cost, supply, product mix, etc., to best serve the needs of Meta's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for DRAM, NAND/SSD and HDDs, and perform competitive analysis on relevant offerings • Develop, manage and refresh sourcing strategies and roadmaps for memory and storage technologies and ensure Meta is on par or leading the industry in new tech adoption • Develop and maintain relationships with executive management at all memory and storage suppliers. Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met • Conduct and lead regular supplier business and executive reviews to monitor and improve supplier performance • Develop and maintain relationships with internal Product Group executive sponsors to facilitate their relationships

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management in a high tech environment • 8+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, cloud service providers, Memory/Storage partners, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain and associated industries • Experience influencing, negotiating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders to drive key strategic decisions • Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in an often ambiguous, and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for self-directed judgment while coordinating people and technical resources MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field Experience with DRAM, NAND/SSD, or HDD technology qualification and adoption process Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, finance, and operations in a fast-paced environment Background in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling and analysis for memory and storage components Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders in top memory and storage supplier partner companies

Compensation: $173,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
