Description

The Global Technology Sourcing team owns the strategic sourcing strategy, external business relationships, and internal engineering partnerships to drive supply chain execution from new product ideation to deployments at scale. The team combines commercial and technical sourcing expertise, along with manufacturing expertise, to advance in critical infrastructure domains, including artificial intelligence, custom silicon development, and power & cooling technologies. To support our 3.8B+ users, Meta develops and deploys scale infrastructure globally, across data centers, networks, compute, and storage. Meta is seeking an industry expert that develops disruptive strategies to optimize the economics and risk profile for our data center portfolio. Critically, the candidate possesses the business acumen and technical depth to influence infrastructure product strategy and drive industry level change. In this role, the candidate will drive supply enablement for disruptive and next-generation power generation, energy storage, and power distribution, from the utility substation to the rack, inclusive of backup power and resiliency schemes - identifying and evaluating the suppliers capable of building what Meta's future data centers require, often before those products exist, validating the total cost of ownership case, and ensuring those suppliers can ramp to Meta's needs. The candidate will partner with R&D Engineering and Product Development teams to identify the emerging power challenges of future data center designs and to drive the supply chain technology roadmap and time to market for leading power technologies. The candidate will also partner with commercial sourcing managers, manufacturing & component quality engineers, and demand/supply managers in an integrated product team to execute on these strategies and deliver best value for Meta.
