Technical Program Manager III, Workspace Monetization, Google Workspace

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Supercharge human creativity, productivity, and communication with AI (including Generative AI) across Google Workspace products. We are a horizontal team working closely across all products in Workspace to provide a platform for high usage AI features to Workspace products, and we own e2e feature development for horizontal AI features. In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI user experience, working across a range of components in the stack, including Frontend, Serving, Integrations, and more. Responsibilities
- Translate high-level business goals into actionable technical roadmaps and engineering requirements while understanding the complexities of building AI powered features for new and scaled products.
- Drive high-impact monetization projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.
- Partner with engineering to evaluate system architectures for billing, quota management, and API tiering to ensure they meet Workspace's scale and latency requirements. Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams.
- Address the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results.
- Build relationships and manage complex dependencies across Workspace product teams and internal/external partners.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience managing the end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobile and web applications, ensuring architectural alignment across.
- Experience in software development workflows, including code review and automated testing.
- Experience defining and tracking quality metrics for automated systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience defining project scope, managing multiple stakeholders, and successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with software development project management.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and ambiguity within a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills.
