Technical Program Manager
Description
The Products and Applied Research organization in Meta Superintelligence Labs is tasked with building new zero-to-one AI products, along with supporting many AI features in existing Meta products, used by billions of people every day. As a TPM, you will be responsible for delivering significant business value through AI innovations. You will work across a team of AI engineers, scientists, product managers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members to help evaluate models, build advanced techniques, and build effective tools and strategies to streamline model productionization, while maintaining defined quality standards for model performance, reliability, and user experience. You will be part of a highly technical, AI-native team that prioritizes rapid iteration and delivery. You’ll apply your extensive technical background to define functional requirements for new products and features, guide high-level goals and roadmaps, monitor and communicate progress, and drive program execution efficiently through cross-functional and cross-organizational collaboration. You’ll be an integral part of the team who will drive technical strategy, system architectural discussions, and make scalable, maintainable decisions that align with product strategy and vision.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage end-to-end technical AI/ML product solutions and ensure on-time delivery Manage and own cross-functional products and programs execution in a matrix organization Drive and influence technical and product strategy, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, align priorities, and set direction for a broadly cross-functional area Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy for the teams that you are working with Design measurements to track impact and drive internal process improvements Communicate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team Drive efficient execution in a collaborative organization by working in concert with technical program managers, product managers and engineers across Meta to establish a shared vision for improving execution and building solutions Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely fashion to stakeholders Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiative
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience 12+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or systems engineering, with a focus on AI/ML product delivery Experience driving and delivering complex AI/ ML tech programs or products from inception to delivery Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact amongst products, platforms and programs Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and functions, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership Experience with organizational coordination and prioritizing competing workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs Communication experience at executive level and experience influencing decision. makers and technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy review) Experience working across modeling and product teams Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience evaluating model performance online and offline Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience with shipping products that rely on large models (LLMs and VLMs)
Compensation: $199,000/year to $272,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
