Technical Program Manager (all genders)

The impact you’ll make

As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects – you’re orchestrating breakthroughs in support of [insert strategic initiative]. You’ll lead cross-functional teams through successful project execution blending your technical excellence with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. Your role is vital, owning technical projects from initiation through delivery using your expertise in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budget.

What you’ll do

• Leads cross-functional teams through all aspects of Lam’s Product Development and Release process
• Drives the team with an overarching focus on managing risk.
• Establishes the team, determines program specific roles & responsibilities, and leads the team to define, commit to, and meet theprogram vision.
• Shows overall ownership and accountability for the program results, and ensures a sense of team urgency, cross-functional riskidentification and mitigation.
• Reports program progress and risk mitigation plans in PDR risk management reviews, Spin Tech Reviews and regular programreviews.
• Manages technical projects
• Plans and monitors tasks and milestones related to meeting the program performance, costs, and schedule targets and takescorrective action where necessary.
• Effectively runs cross-functional team meetings.
• Assesses program risks, escalates gaps and unattended risks until resolved.
• Coordinates activities across company organizations utilizing expertise, business processes and logistics.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience in a technical field
• 3+ years of related experience in a similar function
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills to deliver results.
• Clear and thorough communication skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work well with a wide range of personalities, to grasp complex interconnections and to self-drive bias for action
• Excellent project management skills. Experience in Agile methods, such as Scrum is preferred.
• Intercultural collaboration skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent presentation skills, and oral and written communication skills in English.

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
