The internship assignment:

The successful candidate will join a talented team of engineers responsible for the planning and execution of all Powertrain launches and engineering changes introduced into our factory at Giga Berlin. The role will involve working cross-functionally across several teams to ensure all is in place to deliver our launches successfully. Exceptional teamwork and communication skills are mandatory, as you’ll be the key point of contact within our team for specific NPI topics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cross-functional production launch activities and support pre-production builds.
  • Plan, execute and evaluate production line trials and critical validation builds.
  • Provide updates for weekly program reviews and implementation status.
  • Analyze complex problems from the shopfloor, transfer and visualize them in Jira, Confluence, Power Point, Excel and guide in a systematic problem-solving process.
  • Assist, check and ensure correct Bill of Material.

Requirements

  • Working towards a BS, MS, or advanced degree in engineering, industrial engineering or other related fields.
  • Creative, out of the box thinking, hands on mentality paired with an analytical and problem solving mindset.
  • Interest and commitment in shopfloor and manufacturing related topics.
  • Key understanding of manufacturing productivity KPIs.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner.
  • Analyze problems and find solutions in a structured manner.
  • Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
  • Experience with any type of hands-on projects is a plus and can be included on your CV.
