Technical Manager, Mask Process

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Job Responsibilities

1. In charge of mask process tuning on either writer, developer, etcher or cleaning for quality enhancement.

2. Familiar to Inspection/ metrology tools for effective mask CD, CDU, Overlay control.

3. To define and lead vendors to develop functions for next-generation mask making.

4. To optimize the mask process flow for new material masks.

5. Project management and team leadership.

6. To define mask tool’s roadmap and milestones.

Job Qualifications

1. Master or PHD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Chemical Engineering and Material Science etc.

2. At least 3 years of experiences in semiconductor or photo-mask process.

3. Personal traits:

(1) Good Logic thinking and leadership.

(2) Good communication and interpersonal skills.

(3) Proactive and positive attitude.

(4) Willingness to break through the challenges.

4. Fluent in English.

5. Experience of optics simulation coding is a plus.
