Description and Requirements
Summary - Lenovo’s Business Application Delivery team is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade Java applications and services. You will play a key role in solution architecture, technical delivery, system modernization, and engineering excellence while helping drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of scalable, secure, and high-performing Java applications and services.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery from solution design through deployment and production support.
- Design and implement scalable microservices, APIs, and integration solutions across enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify architectural improvements, technical risks, and areas of technical debt, proposing practical modernization strategies.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, security, performance, testing, monitoring, and production readiness.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex production issues while driving continuous improvement in system stability and operational excellence.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience with enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong expertise in:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Spring Cloud
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience designing and developing distributed and cloud-native systems, including:
- Service discovery and configuration management
- API Gateway
- Distributed transactions
- Circuit breaker and resiliency patterns
- Asynchronous and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with:
- Redis
- Kafka
- Elasticsearch
- Docker
- Kubernetes (K8s)
- Strong database design and optimization capabilities using:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Apache Doris
- SQL tuning, indexing, query optimization, and large-volume data processing
- Experience building highly available and high-concurrency applications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
