Technical Director, Infrastructure SoC Software

We have a requirement for a Technical Director in the infrastructure solutions software team in our CE-SW group to join in a technical leadership role for a globally distributed software engineering team delivering highly complex software for our cloud and data center products

Responsibilities:
You will:
- Provide technical direction and expertise to the team and ensure strong technical progress across SoC, firmware and system validation from pre-silicon through silicon bring-up and production readiness.
- Partner with senior leaders across hardware, software, architecture and product teams to align with technology and delivery strategy and drive key decisions at the organisation level.
- Actively analyse product requirements, architecture specs and industry standards to drive software design. Lead development practices for best-in-class software efficiency, quality, and predictability
Required Skills and Experience :
- Extensive experience delivering complex system software and technical leadership of large, globally distributed engineering organizations within embedded or infrastructure SoC space.
- Strong technical background in System-on-Chip (SoC), firmware, platform software and system-level validation across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
- Deep expertise low-level systems, including bootloaders, device drivers, OS fundamentals (preferably Linux), and a good understanding of computer architecture.
- Excellent technical judgement, leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior collaborators and drive decisions across engineering organizations.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Knowledge of server-class SoCs, including RAS, power management, PCI Express (PCIe), Compute Express Link (CXL), memory and virtualization.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel, Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A), UEFI EDK II, OpenBMC or Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).
- An ideal candidate would have acted in technical lead capacity for teams of 100+ engineers within SoC space.

Salary Range:
Cambridge: £168,300 - £227,700
Sophia Antipolis: €136,800 - €185,000
Bangalore: ₹11,025,000 - ₹18,375,000
