What does a successful C++ Developer at Fiserv do?

We are seeking an experienced C++ Developer with strong system design and hands-on development expertise to build, enhance, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency applications. The core platform is developed in C++, requiring deep technical proficiency in high-performance system architecture, along with practical experience in SQL, Git, CI/CD, AWS Cloud, and Kubernetes.

What You'll Do

·       Design, develop, and maintain C++-based applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance requirements.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze complex technical challenges, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.

·       Contribute to the architecture and development of high-performance, low-latency systems.

·       Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, maintainability, performance, and security.

·       Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions using modern C++ development practices.

·       Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application and system-level issues to ensure operational stability and reliability.

·       Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to C++ development and the payments domain.

·       Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions.

·       Participate in architecture and design discussions to support the technical evolution of the platform.

·       Support Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will need to have:

·       5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in C++ development.

·       Experience working in the Payments domain.

·       Strong expertise in developing high-performance, low-latency applications.

·       Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and microservices-based architectures.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

·       Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·       Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and software development best practices.

What would be great to have:

·       Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

·       Understanding of application security best practices.

·       Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
