Tax Engine is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Analyst to join our team in São Paulo. In this role, you will own end-to-end tax engine configurations, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure tax compliance across Brazil's complex indirect tax landscape — including readiness for the upcoming Tax Reform (IBS/CBS). You will also have the opportunity to leverage AI tools to drive productivity and innovation in your day-to-day work.

Key job responsibilities
  • Configure, test, and deploy tax engine rules and rate updates for Brazilian indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, IPI, ISS).
  • Support the implementation and configuration of Brazil's Tax Reform (IBS and CBS) within the tax engine.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tax calculation issues through structured root-cause analysis, driving each case to resolution or escalation.
  • Validate configurations through testing tools and ensure quality through peer review and pre-deployment sign-off.
  • Monitor tax engine health through regression testing and proactive error detection.
  • Communicate transparently — provide accurate, verifiable status updates on deployments and support cases.
  • Collaborate with the team — participate in meetings, share knowledge, and flag blockers early.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and triage processes.
