Internship Program Overview: 

Our Interns are our talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you will experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. 

Summary of Role: 

This role combines hands-on exposure to campus recruitment with the opportunity to lead a meaningful internship program enhancement project. The intern will support end-to-end recruitment and program operations while assessing the intern journey to identify opportunities for improvement. Through stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, and process optimization, the intern will help enhance the overall internship experience. The project will also involve exploring digitalization and automation initiatives to drive greater centralization, standardization, and operational efficiency across GlobalFoundries' internship programs.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Develop innovative initiatives to enhance intern and university engagement
  • Automate workflows, approvals, and notifications to improve efficiency
  • Establish and manage a SharePoint hub for internship resources, milestones, and key project activities
  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes
  • Analyse the internship lifecycle to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance the internship experience and operational effectiveness
  • Present project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in HR related courses or related field  
  • Must be in good academic standing. 
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.  
  • Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience 
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.  
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
