What you'll doAs a Systems Engineer, Space, you will contribute to the development, integration, verification, and operation of space systems supporting government and commercial missions. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting mission architecture, spacecraft systems engineering, payload integration, mission operations, and systems engineering activities throughout the program lifecycle.
The day-to-day- Support development of mission, spacecraft, payload, and operational concepts.
- Assist with requirements development, allocation, traceability, and verification activities.
- Support spacecraft architecture, payload integration, and interface management efforts.
- Contribute to MBSE models, system diagrams, technical documentation, and engineering analyses.
- Participate in mission planning, CONOPS development, and operational readiness activities.
- Support AI&T, I&T, environmental testing, and verification activities.
- Assist with launch preparation, LEOP, IOT, and anomaly resolution activities as required.
- Participate in technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and FRR.
- Coordinate with subsystem, software, payload, ground, and mission operations teams.
- Identify technical issues and support development of engineering solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 2-5+ years of experience in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, spacecraft development, mission operations, or related technical fields.
- Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, requirements management, and integration activities.
- Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems such as ADCS, EPS, propulsion, thermal, communications, payloads, or flight software.
- Experience using engineering analysis or modeling tools such as Python, MATLAB, STK, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with MBSE, SysML, Cameo, Jama, DOORS, or equivalent tools.
- Experience supporting spacecraft integration, testing, launch, or mission operations.
- Familiarity with satellite communications, RF systems, networking, or space mission architectures.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
$95,000.00 - $149,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $117,500.00- $176,500.00/ annually
