System Software Engineer – SoC Validation
JOB OVERVIEW
Are you interested in understanding how complex SoCs work and using software to find problems in real silicon?
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our SoC Post-Silicon Validation team. We use Linux and software as powerful tools to exercise, validate, and debug advanced SoCs used in Infrastructure and Data Center systems.
You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, where you can see the direct impact of the code you develop. We will give you opportunities to expand your knowledge of SoC architecture, Linux, system software, and silicon validation while working alongside experienced engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will use Linux to validate SoC functionality, develop software and automated tests, analyze results, and investigate failures. You will work closely with design, firmware, software, and verification engineers to understand problems and contribute to their resolution.
We will encourage you to look beyond individual tests and help us improve our validation tools, automation, coverage, and ways of working. As your experience grows, you will have opportunities to take ownership of increasingly complex areas of SoC validation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with around 2–3 years of experience in Linux, embedded software, firmware, system software, validation, or a related area.
You should have experience programming in C/C++, Assembly and using Python or shell scripting, together with an understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals. Experience using Linux for development, testing, or debugging will help you get started quickly.
Most importantly, we value curiosity, analytical thinking, collaboration, and an interest in understanding how complex systems work.
“NICE TO HAVE” SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You may already have exposure to areas such as SoC validation, silicon bring-up, Linux kernel or device drivers, CPU and memory systems, PCIe, interrupts, SoC interconnects.
You do not need experience in all these areas. We are interested in what you can bring to the team and what you would like to learn next.
