Low Voltage Amplifiers and Comparators Product line in TI based out of Santa Clara is looking for a motivated System Engineer.

At TI, System Engineers work to identify roadmap opportunities for a business and are responsible for defining new products based on market opportunity.

To do this, they leverage,

•  Strong technical knowledge of our existing portfolio
•  Deep understanding of the technologies
•  Knowledge of standards and protocols within an industry or end equipment
•  Strong ability to engage with customers, internal teams

With all this, they translate customer requirements into technical specifications that will solve real-world problems. This exciting opportunity would enable you to develop and showcase your leadership skills cross technical and business domains.

On the technical side, you will have an opportunity to learn technologies that enable Highest Precision, Highest speed, Lowest Power within the realm of Low Voltage Amplifiers and Comparators. You will understand how innovation with cost optimization across multiple domains such as die, package, and test enables world class products.

On the business side, you will be exposed to multiple markets, will have the ability to work with diverse set of customers across different regions of the world, understand how pricing negotiations and product costing interacts, and finally how an established, multi-million product line executes their products with highest quality while supporting a huge customer base.

Responsibilities may include:

• Research and create new product definitions by understanding customer requirements, pain points and industry trends. Develop business case proposals, own product development strategies and take products to market. 
• Develop a comprehensive roadmap strategy to grow product line revenue. Continuously analyze key end-equipment in automotive and industrial spaces to get ahead of the competitors while working closely with customers. 
• Understand future trends, identify opportunities for improving performance and adding value to the system and end-equipment
• Be the technical expert, responsible for product ramp up for the customer. Drive revenue growth through adoption of new and existing products
• Provide support to application/marketing team for newly introduced and existing products. Support and train sales organizations on new/existing products and system level application understanding. 
• Build relationships with customers/field teams by closely interacting with them to identify and solve system problems with TI silicon
• Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customers to meet NPD and customer ramp timelines. Drive Competitor assessment (specs, teardown) and enable new products to be better in performance, cost, and size.
• Relentlessly drive new design wins for new and existing products. Bring quick resolution to customer problems by interfacing across different functional groups such as design, product, test, packaging, marketing and sales. 
• Create technical literature such as datasheets, application notes, user's guides, models, VVCM etc. to support new product development and support marketing launches.
• Actively drive, engage and participate in technology reviews and PPIT with Kilby, ATD and SCP and collaborate with experts in field application team.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, ECE or a related degree program 
• 2+ years of relevant experience in linear circuits
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related degree program 
• 5+ year of relevant experience and deep understanding of analog blocks such as Operational Amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, References, LDO's etc.
• Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal IC's and their application. Familiarity with lab equipment and/or System level circuit modeling with SPICE
• Strong customer facing skills and experience solving technical problems for customers. Track record of driving design wins by providing system solutions
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery. Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes

Base Pay Range: $155,000 - $240,500 per year
