Supply Chain Program Manager
In this role you will support the production of the Optical System products at our partner EMS & Vendors mainly located in SE & S Asia . You will work closely with R&D, Product Line managers (PLM), Procurement, Engineering, Compliance Certification & Logistics organizations located in different countries, including India, USA, Canada, Italy, Germany. You are expected to be familiar with a structured Product Life cycle Milestones driven approach from engineering concept stage to mass production in Telcom / High Tech industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal English communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Prefer education majors to be in Engineering, Supply Chain / Business Operations, Management but others will be considered with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing operations roles & responsibilities in Mass Production of an Optical / Electro mechanical Hardware product following a structured phase gate review process.
- Preferred knowledge of project planning; engineering drawings; manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and change management processes within Product Data Management (PDM) systems; forecasting; demand and supply planning; material requirements planning (MRP); purchasing; and product costing.
- Preferred advanced understanding of electronic and optical manufacturing processes, with a solid general knowledge of electronic and optical testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with electronic, optical, and mechanical components, as well as telecommunications systems, products, and technologies, is highly desirable.

- Experienced in the usage of Product Data Management (PDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Fully proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Sharepoint, JIRA & Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead change review boards to review, discuss and bring to implementation Engineering changes on the product.
- Ensure all change activity (ECN, variances, deviations, Special Build Requests) on the product is implemented accurately and effectively to support the program schedule.
- Manage phase-in/phase-out of new variants of an existing product.
- Resolve operational issues out of volume production in cross-functional teams (Product Engineering, Test Engineering, R&D, PLM, Procurement, Quality).
- Stabilize manufacturing processes and drive cross-functional “tiger team” to improve yield.
- Work with Procurement to improve BOM health and support cost reduction projects in support of product cost targets.
- Ensure 2nd sources qualification are executed timely by leading technical cross-functional teams.
- Represent Supply Chain Program Management (SC PM) with other Nokia organizations like R&D, PLM, Procurement, Product Engineering, EMS Mgmt, Logistics etc.
- Program manage Nokia contract manufacturers & OEM vendors regarding mass production.
- Serve as First level escalation point to address timely capacity & technical issues to Test Engineering and R&D.
- Manage life cycle of the product from production ramp-up to end of life.
- Prepare & present relevant and necessary content in the prescribed format for product life cycle milestone reviews & approvals, sync'up meetings.
- Lead project plans related to "Product Transfers" between different EMS partners and / or between Internal factory to EMS partner.
- Special projects assigned by Management.
