The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end material readiness across Tier 2 suppliers, hubs, and production sites to avoid supply chain constraints.
- Identify and mitigate material risks such as shortages, yield issues, ECO impacts, and demand shifts.
- Oversee timely shortage resolution in collaboration with suppliers, logistics, and sourcing teams.
- Partner with engineering, sourcing, and supplier teams to validate material readiness for demand changes and ramp events.
- Monitor and improve material health metrics, addressing gaps in clear-to-build readiness and cycle times.
- Ensure data accuracy and visibility to support timely material decisions and cloud hardware delivery goals.
- Develop cloud supply plans, conduct impact analysis, and collaborate on contingency planning.
- Optimize operating models to enhance service levels, reduce costs, and manage inventory effectively.
- Oversee product and material lifecycle transitions, avoiding waste and obsolescence while driving corrective actions.
- Design and standardize data management tools and processes for effective supply chain operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, or supply chain experience OR Master's Degree in a related field AND 1+ year of related experience OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements. These requirements include:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field AND 1-2 years relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field AND 1+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English to work effectively with cross-cultural teams.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex problems and drive actionable solutions.
- Experience in server or cloud supply chain operations.
