Responsibilities


Select and Qualify Components:

-Performs basic technical assessments of supplier
components at varying degrees of complexity and integration level including
reviewing material properties, electrical characteristics, and mechanical
specifications under supervision.

-Assists in collecting and organizing component
reliability data, supporting the analysis and verification of compliance with
industry standards.

-Supports Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Security,
and Test Engineering teams by executing defined tasks in component
qualification processes.

-Observes supplier manufacturing processes to
learn quality assurance practices and contributes to documentation efforts.

Supplier Engagement:

-Supports specific supplier engagement activities
by assisting with technical documentation and tracking adherence to performance
and quality standards.

-Participates in audits of new and existing
suppliers by gathering data on production capabilities, process controls, and
compliance with quality and security requirements.

-Assists with documenting supplier processes and
identifying potential areas for improvement.

-Collaborates with design and procurement teams on
standard tasks related to integrating supplier components into product
development.

New Product Introduction:

-Performs defined tasks within the New Product
Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring that components and supplier processes
meet basic production requirements.

-Participates in design reviews by documenting
component specifications and supplier capabilities.

-Supports supplier coordination efforts by
tracking production tasks and assisting with schedule alignment.

-Assists during pilot production runs by
collecting test data, verifying component quality, and ensuring compliance with
established standards.

Failure Analysis:

-Contributes to quality excursions by conducting
root cause analyses (RCA) of standard issues and by recommending corrective and
preventive actions (CAPA) within the supply chain.

-Supports root cause analysis efforts by gathering
data and collaborating with suppliers and quality teams on corrective actions.

-Tracks and reports quality metrics, highlighting
trends or issues that could impact component reliability.

-Participates in managing non-conforming
components by executing assigned tasks such as labeling, sorting, and maintaining
records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

-Collaborates with Design, Operations, Quality,
and Procurement teams by executing assigned tasks to support component strategy
alignment.

-Acts as a point of contact for specific supplier
issues, facilitating basic communication and coordination efforts.

-Contributes to cross-functional projects by
completing defined tasks that support product quality improvements, cost
reduction, and supply chain performance.

-Assists during design changes, process optimizations,
and supply chain transitions by providing data and documenting technical
details.

-Tracks timelines with minimal supervision,
ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and is in alignment with project
requirements. Prioritizes and adjusts work as resources or timelines change,
with some guidance.

-Collaborates within team to better understand
expectations and achieve shared objectives. Leverages a foundational understanding
of business, stakeholder, and/or customer needs to build partnerships with
limited guidance. Actively listens and asks questions to enhance collaboration.

Problem Solving:

-Identifies and addresses issues, escalating
problems to senior staff as needed in accordance with standard procedures.
Compiles and reviews data and/or information from multiple sources to
troubleshoot standard and non-standard errors.

Continuous Learning:

-Seeks opportunities to gain knowledge and learn
new skills and/or tools aligned with industry trends and best practices.
Utilizes feedback and training to improve skills. Participates in a culture of
continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Improvement:

-Implements updates to processes, protocols, and
workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness as directed with some
guidance. Contributes to ideation for future process improvements.
