Join our Apple SME team shaping the future of advanced coating technologies!
As a PVD fixture SME, you’ll design and implement cutting-edge PVD fixtures to meet exacting coating uniformity and coverage standards for complex 3D components in Apple’s premium product enclosures. Collaborate with global experts, optimize deposition processes, and play a vital role in launching revolutionary products worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop next-generation fixtures & mechanical systems with Apple’s design & manufacturing teams.
- Validate feasibility of bold manufacturing goals during early development phases.
- Conduct studies to ensure mass-production readiness.
- Implement scalable, high-volume solutions with contract manufacturers.
- Present data-driven insights to influence key business & design decisions.
- Periodic travel is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Design/Manufacturing (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in fixture/machine development (R&D or production)
- Expertise in materials & fabrication (CNC, stamping, MIM, laser, injection molding)
- Advanced CAD/CAM skills (Solid Works, CATIA, UG, Pro/E, etc.)
- Fluent English capability
