Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support the continued expansion of our global data center infrastructure. As OCI scales its next generation of cloud data centers, our Global Strategic Sourcing team plays a critical role in securing the equipment, supplier partnerships, and supply chain capabilities needed to support that growth.

In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical data center infrastructure equipment, balancing cost, technical requirements, supplier capacity, and continuity of supply. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to evaluate suppliers, negotiate competitive agreements, and drive long-term supply chain improvements.

The ideal candidate brings strong strategic sourcing and commercial negotiation experience, technical curiosity, and the ability to navigate complex supplier relationships in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, negotiations, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.  Job duties are varied and complex; independent judgment needed. May have project lead role. Prefer 5 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize cost, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, performance evaluation, negotiations, and ongoing business reviews.
  • Lead competitive sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier proposal evaluations, cost modeling, and market analysis.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements to support business objectives and long-term supply continuity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate sourcing alternatives and influence supplier and equipment selection based on cost, technology, availability, and risk.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to supplier capacity, equipment availability, lead times, and delivery performance.
  • Analyze supplier capabilities, market conditions, and cost structures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Drive process improvements and supply chain initiatives that increase operational efficiency, scalability, and supplier accountability.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support strategic business priorities.
  • Communicate sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and business recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supplier management, or a related supply chain function.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Strong analytical skills, including supplier evaluation, cost analysis, market research, and problem-solving.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving measurable improvements in cost, performance, or supply chain efficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Strategic sourcing or supplier management experience involving data center infrastructure, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, or other technically complex hardware.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure equipment such as transformers, transfer switches (ATS), switchgear, UPS systems, power distribution units (PDU), busway, generators, or cooling equipment.
  • Experience managing supplier capacity, long-lead equipment, supply assurance, or continuity-of-supply risks.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, cloud computing, or data center expansion programs.
