Strategic Sourcing Analyst 3 - External Manufacturing
Strategic Sourcing Analyst – External Manufacturing at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) will play a pivotal role in expanding and scaling our next-generation cloud services. As a member of the Global Strategic Sourcing Group, you will make strategic decisions that impact supplier cost, technical capabilities, and supply availability, ensuring the delivery of critical hardware to our customers. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports the External Manufacturing (EM) Sourcing team by providing tactical coordination of supply, sourcing analysis, cost modeling, supplier management, process improvement, Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) execution, risk-buy purchases, and supplier/product qualification activities. The role is critical to maintaining continuity of supply and ensuring timely execution of sourcing activities with Oracle’s contract manufacturing partners supporting Cloud Infrastructure.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.Responsibilities
- Support sourcing strategies for external manufacturing partners (contract manufacturers), and related suppliers.
- Analyze supplier spend, pricing, cost structures, capacity, lead times, and other commercial and operational data to identify sourcing opportunities and risks.
- Support supplier selection activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluations, and sourcing recommendations.
- Develop cost models and conduct pricing analyses to establish negotiation targets and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Participate in supplier commercial negotiations covering pricing, capacity, lead times, payment terms, liability, and other business requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier actions.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify risks related to cost, capacity, continuity of supply, quality, delivery, and manufacturing execution.
- Support business reviews with external manufacturing partners by developing performance metrics, analyses, presentations, and action plans.
- Identify and execute cost optimization, productivity, and value-improvement initiatives while maintaining supply, quality, and business requirements.
- Support new product introductions, product transitions, manufacturing changes, and other sourcing activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Maintain sourcing data, supplier information, commercial documentation, and reporting required for effective category and supplier management.
- Develop dashboards and analyses that provide visibility into sourcing performance, supplier trends, cost opportunities, and business risks.
- Drive assigned sourcing projects from analysis through recommendation, stakeholder alignment, and implementation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing processes, analytical tools, reporting, and supplier-management practices.
