Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
The Strategic Pricing & AI Analytics Intern will join GlobalFoundries’ Strategic Finance & Operations organization and support projects at the intersection of pricing, data analytics, industrial engineering and artificial intelligence. The intern will work with the Pricing team and cross-functional partners to analyze business processes, improve reporting and decision-support tools, and identify opportunities to use AI and automation within pricing workflows.
Essential Responsibilities include:
· Analyze pricing, customer, product, quote and market data to identify trends, exceptions and business insights.
· Document current pricing and reporting workflows and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize or automate manual activities.
· Apply industrial engineering methods such as process mapping, root cause analysis, workflow optimization and process-performance measurement.
· Support the development of AI-enabled tools, analytics or structured workflows that improve pricing analysis and decision support.
· Build or enhance dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Excel or similar business intelligence platforms.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across Pricing, Product Finance, Sales, Strategic Finance and Market Intelligence.
· Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and visual summaries, and present project progress and final recommendations to Strategic Finance & Operations leaders.
Other Responsibilities:
· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
· Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
· Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
· Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
· Foundational knowledge of data analysis, statistics, process improvement or operations research.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the initiative to navigate open-ended or ambiguous business problems.
· Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior related internship or co-op experience
· Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
· Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
· Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong planning & organizational skills
· Rising senior preferred; exceptional rising juniors with relevant coursework or project experience will also be considered.
· Coursework or project experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, simulation, statistics or operations research.
· Experience using generative AI tools or developing AI-assisted analytical workflows.
· Experience working with large datasets, combining information from multiple sources or implementing data-quality checks.
· Coursework, project experience or prior internship experience in financial analysis, pricing, forecasting, supply chain, operations or market research.
· Interest in semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, technology or strategic finance.
