About the Role

This operations role sits within Uber for Business - one of Uber’s fastest growing business units in terms of topline performance. Within this org, you'll join the founding team responsible for building and scaling Catering. Catering is an exciting strategic priority across both Uber for Business and the Delivery organization as a whole, changing the ways in which consumers and business customers use UberEats.

Working alongside the U4B Head of Catering, you'll play a central role in making Catering expansion repeatable across markets. This will consist of operationalizing launch frameworks, coordinating market readiness across regional and global stakeholders, supporting market and account opportunity analysis, and identifying where local requirements require changes to the playbook. Sitting at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, Sales and regional Delivery teams, you'll help define how Catering scales from a small pilot product into a core part of Uber's business across the Globe.

What You’ll Do

  • Market Launch Execution: Own the operational cadence for Catering launches across new markets, translating established launch frameworks into clear work plans, milestones, owners, and readiness criteria.
  • Market Readiness: Coordinate cross-functional readiness across U4B, regional Delivery Strategy & Operations, Sales, Operations, and other local stakeholders to ensure each market is prepared to launch.
  • Expansion Planning: Support market and account opportunity analysis, including book-building and lead identification, to help determine where and how Catering should expand.
  • Playbook Iteration: Identify patterns and deviations across markets, distinguish local requirements from systemic gaps, and continuously improve the expansion playbook based on launch learnings.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive clear communication, issue resolution, and escalation across global and regional stakeholders while independently solving problems within the established framework.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, launch operations, enablement operations, or a related field.
  • Program Management: Strong organizational and execution skills, with experience managing multiple work streams, stakeholders, milestones, and dependencies at once.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Ability to apply an established framework to new situations, identify meaningful deviations, and determine which issues can be solved directly versus escalated.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfort working with business data to support market prioritization, performance monitoring, and operational decision-making.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across global, regional, and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Launch and Expansion Experience: Experience supporting multi-market launches, geographic expansion, or repeatable operational programs.
  • Uber or Marketplace Knowledge: Familiarity with Uber, Delivery, U4B, or marketplace operating models is helpful but not required.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify recurring friction, improve operating processes, and make established programs more scalable over time.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Comfortability with basic Uber-preferred AI tools including ChatGPT and Claude/Cortana.
  • Adaptability: Comfort operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment, taking ownership of execution while maintaining strong judgment on when to escalate.
