Strategic Account Technology Strategist - Petrobras
The Strategic Account Technology Strategist (S-ATS) for Petrobras is the executive technology leader responsible for defining and driving Microsoft's technology strategy across one of the most strategic Energy accounts globally.The S-ATS serves as Petrobras' trusted technology advisor and virtual CTO, partnering with CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, Digital, Engineering and Business leaders to accelerate their digital transformation journey while advancing Microsoft's long-term strategic position within the account.This role requires a unique combination of deep Oil & Gas industry expertise, executive engagement skills, cloud and AI technical leadership, and the ability to orchestrate large multi-disciplinary teams across Microsoft, partners and customer stakeholders.
The S-ATS will shape and lead strategic initiatives across:Energy Transition and Sustainability Exploration & Production (E&P) Refining and Downstream OperationsIndustrial Data PlatformsDigital Twins and Operational IntelligenceArtificial Intelligence and Agentic AIHigh Performance Computing (HPC)SAP ModernizationCybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure ProtectionCloud Platform and Application ModernizationData Estate Transformation and Industry Data PlatformsThis role owns the technology relationship at the highest executive levels and is accountable for defining the long-term technical vision that creates business value for Petrobras while accelerating Microsoft's cloud, AI and security business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technology advisor and virtual CTO for Petrobras, owning executive relationships with CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, Digital, Engineering and Business leaders.
- Define and drive the long-term technology strategy aligned to Petrobras business priorities and digital transformation objectives.
- Translate Oil & Gas industry challenges and opportunities into technology roadmaps leveraging Microsoft Cloud, Data, AI, Security and Business Applications solutions.
- Lead strategic conversations around Exploration & Production (E&P), Refining, Industrial Operations, Energy Transition, Sustainability and Operational Excellence.
- Drive adoption and expansion of Microsoft Azure, Data & AI, Copilot, Security, Dynamics 365 and Industry Solutions.
- Lead the technology architecture vision for large-scale transformation programs involving Data Platforms, Agentic AI, Industrial AI, HPC, SAP modernization and application modernization.
- Orchestrate Microsoft, partner and customer technical teams to deliver industry-specific business outcomes and accelerate innovation.
- Influence customer technology decisions by providing thought leadership on emerging technologies, including Generative AI, HPC, Industrial IoT, Digital Twins and advanced analytics.
- Drive competitive strategies and differentiation against hyperscale competitors through industry expertise, executive engagement and technology leadership.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior customer executives and position Microsoft as Petrobras' strategic technology partner.
- Align technical strategy, architecture and solution investments with measurable business outcomes and consumption growth.
- Champion industry innovation scenarios that enable Petrobras to operate in new, transformative and disruptive ways.
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.
This role requires proficiency in written, reading, and conversational Brazilian Portuguese and English.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities or other asset-intensive industries.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 14+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.
5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management.
5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.
Experience with Cloud, Data & AI, HPC, Industrial IoT, OT/IT convergence and Cybersecurity.
Executive-level relationship management experience with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and business stakeholders.
