Staff Software Engineer, AI Incubation and Rapid Infrastructure Automation

We are looking for a motivated and skilled software engineer to work as an AI-First Staff Software Engineer to design and develop solutions for our customer use-cases and issues. As a member of the group, you will convert commercial pain points into impactful software offerings via focused, sprint-style execution, where understanding each client need deeply is more important than trying to provide the ideal outcome. We operate in a "good enough, faster" environment, where achieving the maximum impact in the shortest possible time frame is of paramount importance.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Work as an Artificial Intelligence-First Software Engineer who engages directly in the customers' environment to understand and solve their issues.
• Use Agentic AI and Spec Driven Development to develop products and solutions with an AI-First mindset.
• Participate actively in architectural and design decisions, exercising sound technical judgment to ensure solution delivery in the fastest possible time.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and interns, contributing to a collaborative team culture. Manage individual project priorities and tasks effectively, ensuring timely delivery in a dynamic environment.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed team structure.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  
• 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in professional software development.
• Experience with backend distributed systems, databases, and full-stack development.
• Experience in Spec Driven Development using Agentic AI.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Golang and experience in testing and launching distributed systems, storage, and related software products.
  
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical stakeholders.
