Job Summary
Join the Cortex DevOps Production group as a Staff DevOps Engineer, collaborating directly with the Cortex Cyber Security Research team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on critical infrastructure and code projects. Additionally, you will orchestrate high-pressure production maintenance and ensure seamless service reliability. This role empowers you to drive scalable infrastructure solutions in a dynamic, cutting-edge cybersecurity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full end-to-end responsibility for the AWS-deployed SaaS production environment.
- Build innovative tools for the automatic remediation of known production issues.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to orchestrate both production and development environments.
- Design, maintain, and scale production services across thousands of Kubernetes clusters.
- Secure production environments by integrating internal and market-leading security tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical applications and infrastructure.
- Research and deploy cutting-edge technologies into the production environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, ensuring high reliability.
- High proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Terraform and HashiCorp tools.
- High proficiency with virtualized and containerized environments, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience managing and scaling high-volume production environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency with CI/CD and Configuration Management tools, preferably Jenkins.
- Experience with databases and messaging systems like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Kafka.
- Proven ability to quickly grasp new technologies and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
