Amazon Leo is Amazon's initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Commerce team plays a crucial role in developing and managing the systems that will enable customer acquisition, billing, and overall business operations for this service.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Program Manager to lead large cross functional programs for Amazon Leo Commerce team in India. This role will be instrumental in establishing and growing country expansion plans for Leo Commerce and overall Leo Excellence program.

Export Control Requirement: This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations

Key job responsibilities
  • Own the cross‑org program for LOC operational‑health readiness and international launches.
  • Manage dependencies, risk, and launch/operational readiness across regions. Track cross‑team dependencies and regional rollout (6 AWS regions), run go/no‑go and readiness reviews, drive Gameday/production‑readiness closure, and ensure security/compliance items (Shepherd findings, MCM) are resolved before launch.
  • Establish mechanisms and reporting that give leadership a single source of truth.
  • Define and shepherd the internationalization roadmap and market‑specific requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
