The Support Applications Engineer is a dynamic, exciting position where you can utilize your physical verification and design skills to enable the success of our customers and our business. You will assist customers by deploying Siemens EDA’s physical verification software, aiding them to solve complex verification and design challenges.

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers via telephone and other electronic means, and at customer locations

Assist customers in deploying Siemens EDA’s software to solve design challenges

Track and updating customer issues using defined Siemens EDA’s processes and tracking tools

Develop and deliver technical presentations and training on new features and product updates

Develop technical content for Siemens EDA's knowledge-base

Communicate customers' technical requirements as well as customer issues to product division and sales team

Work collaboratively with the customer and team members to ensure mutual success

Job Qualifications

MSc or BSEE required Minimum 3 years of industry experience in IC Design

Good understanding of custom/ASIC design flow and physical verification

Working familiarity of Linux OS, and previous experience with scripting or Tcl/Python/Perl programming preferred

Familiar with Siemens EDA’s Calibre tools is a must

Knowledge of competitive EDA tools and products in the area of physical implementation, physical verification is highly desired.

Requires well developed verbal and written communication skills in English

Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies with good problem solving skills
