We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Sourcing, Security and Sustainability (CS3) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers, execution, fulfillment, and logistics teams to overcome obstacles and align build plans, ensuring continuous supply chain flow.
- Meet regularly with assigned suppliers to review NPI build target demand, capture supply commitments and publish internally.
- Review all POs placed by Microsoft System Integrators and assure compliance and supportability against our 3PL inventory positioning.
- Manage metrics including supply, E&O (Excess & Obsolete), and shortages within lead time at each supplier to improve performance.
- Work with engineering teams, sourcing managers, supply chain, and capacity planning teams to manage the timing, availability, and ramp-up of new platforms.
- Perform scenario analysis to understand the impact of component shortages, demand changes, and other variables on the supply plan of record.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement better tools and processes to meet global demand.
- Drive SI/ODM (System Integrator/Original Design Manufacturer) for multi-source and multi-geo initiatives to achieve internal annual targets.
- Provide leadership in scenario analysis, strategic program management, and the alignment of build plans with compliance and executive directives.
- Foster a data-driven culture by overseeing strategic data processes, promoting continuous improvement, and sharing insights with executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, materials requirement planning systems and tools, quantitative & qualitative analysis in cross functional or organizational enterprise environment, or related experience OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, materials requirement planning systems and tools, quantitative & qualitative analysis in cross functional or organizational enterprise environment, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements. These include, but are not limited to:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years in electronics manufacturing supply planning or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
- Broad knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including PCBA, interconnect, mechanicals, power supply units, thermal solutions, and logistics.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 8+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools, quantitative & qualitative analysis in cross-functional or organizational enterprise environments, or related experience OR Master's Degree in related field AND 6+ years relevant work experience.
