The TD IE Strategy team collaborates with global Technology Development organizations to guide strategic wafer loading decisions, capacity planning, and scenario analysis across Micron's development fabs! By applying Industrial Engineering principles, advanced analytics, intelligent solutions, and cross-functional collaboration, the team supports data-informed decisions that promote technology development and business goals.

This role requires strong analytical capability, project leadership, and partner management skills to optimize planning processes, improve forecast accuracy, and deliver actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic wafer loading, capacity planning, and scenario analysis across global Technology Development sites.
  • Partner with global TD engineering to ensure key collaborators are linked into the plan and scenario timelines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Process Integration, and Finance teams to align business plans, resource requirements, and technology development priorities.
  • Develop and implement AI-enabled analytics, forecasting models, and planning solutions to improve decision quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead quarterly business planning processes, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and multi-functional partner engagement.
  • Analyze fab performance, traveler movement, wafer starts, yield, and capacity metrics to provide actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Build automated reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations that simplify complex data and support executive decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, and/or 2+ years experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in data analysis, project management, and working across departments within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI; working knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, drive projects to completion, and excel in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying Industrial Engineering concepts to production planning, scheduling, forecasting, and capacity optimization.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, fab planning methodologies, and production systems.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with experience developing automated analytics or AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence collaborators and lead cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.

Additional details:

Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Collaborate with build engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
