Key job responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack
- Develop systems that enforce operational controls beyond Amazon sites, including external fulfillment environments with our 3P partners
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions that solve fulfillment challenges at scale
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency, targeting industry-leading speeds
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar across the team
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles, shipping new capabilities in weeks not months
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
