Description and Requirements
About the Position
Reporting to the CSP Sales Director, the CSP Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving revenue, profit and customer satisfaction for some of Lenovo's larges Cloud customers. You will support RFP processes, configure, price and quote sales solutions, manage and maintain account relationships with customers and support business development initiatives and work closely with CSP Field Sellers and technical subject matter experts to qualify opportunities, propose solutions and demonstrate the value of Lenovo products.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with a strong technical background, strong relationship building skills, and excellent negotiation skills. This position operates on a hybrid schedule and is onsite 3 days per week at our Morrisville, NC location and is part of a global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with outside Account Executives, Field Sales and technical subject matter experts to drive sales, profit, and customer satisfaction
- Build and provide Price configurations and provide quotations to the customer with speed and high accuracy
- Partner with internal teams such as Operations, Procurement Supply Chain
- Provide Project Financials in partnership with Finance and maintain updates
- Configure, Price and Quote sales solutions and participate in RFP processes
- Ensure that there is clear communication to Customer and Internal Teams regarding timelines
- Ensure that expectations are clearly communicated to Customer and Internal Teams regarding projects and updates
- Deliver clear documentation in a timely way
- Act as a focal point for issue resolution from customer escalation, engaging with support teams at both Lenovo and at the Customer
- Resolve challenging situations with accounts
- Maintain account relationships working with Customer contacts at various organizational levels
- Stay up to date with Customers, industry trends, and events
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of Experience working in sales: Account Management, Sales Specialist, Sales Engineer or similar position
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering, Business Administration or related field required
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of Experience in Sales with Server products or ODM offerings experience and ODM space
- 5+ years of Experience with strategic selling of Cloud technologies
- Experience with Salesforce/MS Dynamics
- Proficiency creating slide decks with PowerPoint
- Experience delivering functional reporting using Excel and BI tools
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation skills: proven experience providing documentation early is desired
- Strong relationship building skills with Customers and Internal teams
- Proactive mindset and willingness to recognize the partnerships and contributions of other team members
- Willingness to provide feedback in challenging situations
- Experience delivering quarterly business plans a plus
