The AWS Enterprise Support Strategy and Operations (ESSO) team for Strategic Industries (SI) is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, and creative thought leader with a strong background in in sales operations and supporting field organizations. As Sr. Sales & Delivery Operations Manager, you will be the senior operations leader for the Strategic Industries Business Development (BD) function owning the end-to-end operating rhythm and delivering strategic initiatives that will enable growth and effectiveness of the business development function. You will also partner with select Strategic Industries delivery Area Leads to pursue prioritized initiatives and own select planning and operational activities for the Strategic Industries business across Business Development and Delivery, influencing cross-functional and worldwide teams as needed.
You will bring visibility, insights, and rigor across the full business cycle—from pipeline management, forecasting, and go-to-market execution on the sales and business development side, through to capacity planning, P&L management, business performance, and effectiveness of the field delivery teams that serve our customers. You will leverage your depth of field operations experience to drive the growth, efficiency, effectiveness, and business performance of the organization, all while enabling a best-in-class customer and employee experience.
The successful individual will have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, write effectively, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-functional working relationships and demonstrate exceptional influencing capabilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail. This is a hands-on position—the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up their sleeves”, dive deep, and solve important business problems.

- Own the end-to-end operating rhythm for the Strategic Industries Business Development function, delivering strategic initiatives that enable the growth and effectiveness of the business development organization
- Partner with leaders to drive execution of the go-to-market strategy, and bring visibility, insights, and rigor to pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and sales planning
- Own and execute key field operational mechanisms (e.g., territory planning, deal reviews, pipeline inspections, and business performance inspections)
- Ideate and lead initiatives focused on driving business performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the business development organization—improving deal success, pipeline management, and accelerating the opportunity-to-cash cycle
- Partner with select Strategic Industries delivery Area Leads to pursue prioritized initiatives
- Own select planning and operational activities across the SI delivery organization
- Define and lead the rhythm of business to inspect and manage the business and ensure achievement of the organizational goals and objectives, inclusive of delivery and BD, ie. Monthly business reviews, QBRs, etc.
- Lead strategic planning and annual planning activities in partnership with cross functional teams and senior leaders
- Own communication and partnership with business stakeholders, finance, recruiting, and HR regarding planning and execution within scope
- Drive process improvement and change management across the segment—lead and deliver training as needed
- Be a subject matter expert on your businesses. Own escalations and raise operational concerns. Define and land key initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
