Role Overview

As a Consulting Engineer in Vectra AI Professional Services, you will lead technically complex customer implementations across enterprise and Federal environments. You will combine deep cybersecurity expertise, solution architecture, hands-on deployment, production-ready integrations, and threat analysis to help customers operationalize Vectra solutions and strengthen their security posture. This role requires independent ownership of customer engagements, strong technical judgment, and clear communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end implementation onboarding for enterprise and Federal customers, including solution architecture, design reviews, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, validation, documentation, and operational handover.
  • Deploy and configure Vectra AI products, including Detect, Recall, Stream, Match, and IDR/CDR, across on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Apply Vectra’s implementation methodology to validate traffic flows, assess sensor data health, identify coverage gaps, and tune triage workflows.
  • Integrate Vectra into customer security ecosystems, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and identity platforms, using built-in capabilities and production-ready custom API integration scripts.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on solution designs, proofs of concept, and implementations; identify security architecture blind spots and recommend practical remediation.
  • Analyze threats, reconstruct exploitation trails, and investigate attacker lateral movement within customer networks to inform detection, triage, and remediation guidance.
  • Lead customer workshops and training on platform capabilities, investigative workflows, integrations, and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage implementation plans, milestones, technical dependencies, and risks; maintain accurate deployment records and customer handover materials.
  • Respond to and document customer requests, resolve implementation issues, and coordinate escalation of complex problems with appropriate internal teams.
  • Conduct security research that improves understanding of emerging threats and translate findings into customer guidance and reusable delivery practices.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, reusable integration assets, and continuous improvement of Professional Services delivery.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through clear communication, reliable engagement delivery, and effective customer enablement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, technical consulting, or customer environments, with demonstrated customer-facing implementation ownership.
  • 2+ years of professional security consulting experience.
  • Federal DoD TS/SCI clearance, required for the Federal customer scope of this role.
  • Hands-on proficiency deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and operating security platforms, including NDR/CDR, EDR, SIEM, and forensics-oriented tools.
