Sr Product Manager – Auth & Identity

McAfee•Published 1 days ago•First seen 1 days ago
Role Summary

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own McAfee's customer identity platform and the end-to-end authentication experience. This is a high-ownership role responsible for how millions of customers create accounts, verify who they are, sign in, stay signed in, and move seamlessly across web, desktop, mobile, and partner ecosystems. Identity is the connective tissue of the McAfee relationship - from purchase and onboarding through adoption, engagement, and retention - and you'll own both the platform underneath it and the consumer-facing experience.

This is the right role for someone who is equally fluent in discussing OAuth flows, session architecture, and passkey implementation with engineers and identifying new opportunities to delight and streamline the customer experience. It sits at the intersection of platform, customer experience, growth, and security. Your mission will be to build and execute a roadmap that drives measurable outcomes globally: more known, authenticated customers, higher login success, and a modern identity stack that scales.

Position Details

What You'll Own

  • The multi-year identity strategy: translated into a prioritized roadmap and investment decisions that balance security, customer experience, scalability, and business value.
  • The customer identity platform: sign-in, sign-up, SSO, MFA, email/OTP verification, passkeys, social login, identity federation, and the services underneath them.
  • The end-to-end authentication experience across account creation, verification, passwordless and cross-device sign-in, and returning-customer and account-recovery journeys.
  • Growth of authenticated users: the strategy and roadmap to reduce friction, lift login conversion, and expand the known, authenticated customer population across the McAfee ecosystem.
  • Platform modernization: migrations to modern identity infrastructure and adoption of industry-standard authentication technologies.
  • Authentication KPIs: login conversion, auth success/failure, MFA and passkey adoption, SSO utilization, and availability, with clear quarterly targets.

What You'll Do

  • Set the identity strategy and translate it into a prioritized roadmap with measurable quarterly goals across platform, experience, and growth.
  • Drive platform modernization: lead authentication migrations and identity architecture work, and bring passkeys, passwordless, and modern standards into production at scale.
  • Optimize the authentication experience to raise sign-in and sign-up conversion and reduce friction across markets, devices, and products, in close partnership with Design and Engineering.
  • Grow authenticated, known customers by lowering authentication friction, improving login conversion, and expanding cross-device and returning-customer engagement.
  • Run a rigorous experimentation program: A/B and multivariate testing of auth flows, verification steps, and recovery paths to continuously improve conversion and completion.
  • Make the security / experience trade-offs demonstrating our Shield Above All value by deliberately, protecting customers without adding friction that costs conversion or retention.
  • Instrument the funnel end to end: define auth metrics, stand up telemetry and observability, and partner with Analytics on dashboards and deep funnel insight.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Design, Data, Customer Support, and Core Product to deliver cohesive identity experiences across the customer lifecycle.
  • Report results transparently to leadership and drive alignment across a large set of stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including owning customer-facing platform or infrastructure products.
  • Strong technical fluency in authentication and identity: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, MFA, identity verification, passkeys/FIDO2, session management, and authentication architecture.
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience using experimentation and customer data to drive decisions.
  • Track record improving conversion, completion, or adoption in a customer-facing funnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership without direct authority.
  • Excellent communicator who can set strategy, align stakeholders, and have strong accountability to outcomes.
