The Amazon Air (AIR) Process Engineer (PE) team is a group of leaders driving process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement. Candidates will manage the relationship between cost, speed, and service by developing innovative ideas which create value for our customers. PE's have customer impact by identifying and solving process defects, deep diving data, using engineering principles in the development of processes and planning tools, and project management skills to implement change. PE’s act locally, but build globally, standardizing AIR’s operations.
This position is expected to be in the office in Lakeland, FL.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop standard work, benchmarking, and auditing capability
- Collect, consolidate, and report on performance to Operations Integrations teams
- Program Manage large scale projects and work with Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) and Process Engineering teams to manage projects, timelines, and overall successful implementation of change
- Work directly with internal customers/partners, identifying required network capacity and constraints
- Collect and interpret operating cost data
- Assist in reviewing proposals for new equipment and services
- Pull, analyze, and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data management systems)
- Participate in long term planning and modeling sessions
- Travel up to 25% of the time
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- 4+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
- Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
- Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with financial and statistical modeling
- Experience in layout design

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
