Sr. Operations Manager Germany - Airports & Venues
Uber Mobility | Germany Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid)
About the Team
Our Operations teams work where Uber’s technology meets the real world. We are the local eyes on Uber’s operations, and we own city-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs. We ensure complex, business-critical work is done in a high-quality way and champion the core Uber experience in our cities.
About the Role
Uber moves the real world. Airports, major venues, and transit hubs represent the "front door" to the Uber experience across DACH. For a traveler stepping off a plane or leaving a venue, that ride is a critical moment of truth and impacts our growth.
We are looking for an individual who has strong operational and analytical skills, as well as strategic business sense.
As the Strategic Operations Manager for Airports, Venues & Partnerships, you won't just manage operations on the ground—you will own end-to-end partnership management and ensure marketplace health and growth across DACH Mobility. You will lead strategic commercial negotiations, navigate complex stakeholder relationships, and align long-term business goals with key external partners across our airports and local transit venue ecosystem—including iconic gateways like the Uber Arena, conference centers, and train stations.
This is a key position that can make a big impact on business and change the way people move in our countries.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Airport Strategy & Operations: Negotiate and execute on new airport deals, as well as assess and manage the airport funnel points (e.g. in-app way-finding, driving actioning) to scale our Airports business and driver/rider frequency.
- Elevate Airports & Venues: Manage senior-level relationships with airports, stadiums and event locations. You’ll lead commercial negotiations and then roll up your sleeves to design physical pickup zones, signage, and wayfinding to optimize rider/driver flow.
- Operationalise Partnerships: Design and launch consumer-facing campaigns that turn brand partnerships into measurable demand. You’ll build the "playbooks" that allow these partnerships to scale across the country.
- Analyse & Optimise: Define the KPIs that matter. You will track performance metrics conversion, reliability, and ROI and continuously iterate to improve the experience.
- Own Marketplace Health & Performance: Monitor and optimise core marketplace dynamics across our major airports and lead partnerships with them — driving demand growth, tracking health metrics, pricing surges, marketing - to maximise trip volume and reliability.
- Expand Venues & Transport Hub Partnerships: Build and execute commercial partnership deals across major transport hubs, stadium and conference venues (including Uber Arena), and train stations.
- Scale Through Data & Cross-Functional Alignment: Analyse complex real-time and historical datasets to uncover growth opportunities, track competitive dynamics, and align efforts internally across Product, Marketing, Operations, BD.
- Collaborate across the "Forest & Trees": Balance high-level strategic planning with the nitty-gritty of daily operations. You’ll work with leadership to set the direction for Airports & Venues while ensuring standard operating procedures are flawless.
