Compensation: $115,000 - $165,000, based on experience
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team and provide advanced technical support for a diverse set of client environments. This role will handle escalations from a shared NOC and work across multiple technologies and vendors to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
· Escalation Management: Act as the primary point of contact for complex network issues escalated from Tier 1–3 teams.
· Multi-Vendor Expertise: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other OEM platforms.
· Technology Coverage: Support and enhance configurations for Routing & Switching, SD-WAN solutions, Firewalls and security policies.
· On-Call Rotation: Participate in scheduled on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
· Implementation of network configuration changes following Change Management best practices.
· Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver training programs for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Junior Tier 3 engineers on technology, client processes, and best practices.
· Monitoring & Oversight: Provide insights into monitoring configurations and assist with CMDB updates and related technical oversight.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration and support for client environments.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with change management policies and procedures, and develop processes for environments lacking formal change management frameworks.
Qualifications:
· Experience: 7+ years in network engineering roles, with strong troubleshooting skills across multiple vendors.
· Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, NSE (or equivalent) preferred.
· Skills: Deep understanding of routing, switching, SD-WAN, and firewall technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills for mentoring and cross-team collaboration.
· Availability: Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation.
Preferred Attributes
· Experience in a managed services or multi-client environment.
· Familiarity with ITIL processes and CMDB management.
· Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
This role requires strong alignment with ITIL best practices, ensuring adherence to established processes and frameworks for service management.
